Hey there everyone! A little long and a little late, but we wanted to share a post-race followup from the #66 A & A Manufacturing / NAWN FORENSICS / DelMarVa Model Railroad Club 1938 Chevy Vintage Modified's outing at Potomac Speedway this past weekend. When Gladmon Family Motorsports - GFM started out 3 years ago, just about from scratch, we knew pretty much nothing about dirt-track racing, what to do getting the car ready, and even less about driving it. With the help of several very key people that we aren't going to discuss in this Post, and some recently changed components/setup on the car, GFM has continued to learn and improve as we are now into our fourth Season. With that being said, the start of Saturday evening was pretty much the same as always. Got ready, loaded up, drove to the track, unloaded. No big deal. Then we went out for Warmups. The track was rather dicey and everyone shared how next-to-impossible it was to make their cars turn. At that point after Warmups, our driver made a decision, for the first time in GFM's short history, to make a tire change based on how the car had performed in Warmups. To recognize that something needed to be done and could be done right away, in hopes of a good run in the Feature, shows that the past 3 years haven't been for nothing. After very quickly swapping out the right rear (thank you very much to the father-son team of bystanders in the pits that helped), the #66 performed a whole lot better in the Feature than it had in Warmups. Changes made before this Season, during this Season, and during the night at the Track helped reinforce that we're here to have fun, without always having the disappointment of finishing last. To be honest though, even with the improvements in the car (and driver) this year, we have no expectations of getting a second win (Lol! IYKYK) in the few years we plan to continue with the #66. At least, though, we can keep the excitement of being out there, trying to do better each time, all while having fun.

Next up is Bridgeport Speedway on 8/29. See you at the Track!
