Q: What’s one thing you want every athlete to learn from you?
A: There is going to come a point in time in your life where you are going to be struggling and can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. That is God working in you and your soul to show you that before the good comes, you must struggle and overcome obstacles and stuff completely out of our control

Q: What’s a common mistake you see players make?
A: Taking the sport too seriously! This is America’s game that we and others have played as little kids in our backyards for years! Don’t be too tense, it’s just a game

Q: Why did you want to become an instructor?A: I saw the joy and excitement the instructors and trainers I have had my whole life, and I want to be able to give back to the younger generation and see them succeed as they are the next generation of leaders!! Q: Coffee, energy drink, or neither?
A: COFFEE!!! I am a coffee connoisseur and try a new local coffee shop every weekend with my little doggo!

Emily Todor - Hitting Instructor

HS: Indian Creek High School
College: Butler University

What do you enjoy most about working with athletes?
What I enjoy most about working with athletes is getting to see their growth both on and off the field. It is rewarding to celebrate their successes with them while also encouraging them through the moments that are difficult. I love being someone who helps athletes become the best version of themselves.

What lessons from your playing career do you bring to athletes?
One of the most important lessons I learned through my playing career is that your worth is not defined by what you accomplish on the field. Injuries and hardships will happen, but how you react to those is what truly determines a great player. Knowing that you are a great person and a great teammate regardless is what is important.

Favorite way to spend an off day?
My favorite way to spend a day off is spending time with my family and friends. I also love playing pickleball and doing anything outdoors.

What lessons from your playing career do you bring to athletes?
What I want to be able to bring to an athlete is called an “expensive experience.” I have experienced the ups and downs that come with every level and stage of life in this game. I want the athletes to be able to turn to me before making an important decision and ask questions. I hope to make my past experiences, and mistakes a way to better help guide the athletes. they should not have to make those decisions by themselves. If my mistakes help younger people then they would have a purpose.

Why did you want to become an instructor?
I have been blessed with so many people in my life that have attributed to my career in some way shape or form. I still remember every coach I have ever had. I want to spread the passion, joy, and discipline this game has shown me to the kids.

Coffee, energy drink, or neither?
I love a good flat white coffee or C4 pre workout (the blue raspberry scooped powder)

Q: What’s one thing you want every athlete to learn from you?
A: Baseball is as much mental as it is physical. Your mind is a very powerful tool!

Q: What lessons from your playing career do you bring to athletes?
A: You don’t have to be perfect to be a great pitcher. There’s a reason a good batting average is only .300!
Q: What do you enjoy most about working with athletes?
A: The individuality. Athletes finding out what works best for them and what doesn’t work as well. Not everything is a one size fits all.

Q: Favorite team?
A: Cincinnati Reds

Q: Fun fact?
A: I am a professional wiffle ball player for the New York Green Apples in Big League Wiffle! (BLW)
