🌤️ Spring weather is here, and that means weekend tournament season is back!

After a few months off, we hosted our first tournament of the season last weekend. The GCRC welcomed 15 USSSA Adult Softball teams on Saturday, Feb. 28. Thank you to all teams that came!

What’s happening this weekend? ⚾🥎

• SC Upstate Official Top Gun Sports Baseball will bring 10 teams to Greenwood for games on Saturday and Sunday.
• Ninety Six High School will host a JV Softball Tournament on Saturday featuring 6 teams at the JC Fox Boozer Complex.

We officially wrapped up our 2026 Basketball Season this week! 🏀

Registration will be open Monday Jan 19th till Sunday Feb 8th.
Boys Baseball, Girls Softball, Co-ed Flag Football, and Tennis
Baseball ages: 5-6 co-ed ; 7-8 ; 9-10 ; 11-12
Softball ages: 7-8 ; 9-10 ; 11-12
Flag Football ages: 7-8 ; 9-10 ; 11-12 ( All flag football will be at the Greenwood Complex unless WS and NS have enough to form a team then practices can be held at those sites. ALL games will be at the Greenwood County Recreation Complex
Tennis: 6-14 ; all tennis dates will be on Saturdays from 9:00am to 11:00am. Each date will be held at the Greenwood Recreation Complex courts. Registers will need to create a USTA after registration
- Tennis has its own registration page since this sport will not interfere with the other 3, kids can sign up for tennis and another sport.

A big thank you to our Greenwood County SC Government County Council for honoring our 10U Ninety Six Volleyball Champions. Thank you to County Council for all they do to help support our programs. Once again congratulations to players, coaches, and family members on a great 2025 season! See you all next fall!

Last night, the Greenwood County Council recognized the 2025 10U Ninety Six All-Star Volleyball Team for winning the State Team Championship on November 22, 2025, in Lancaster, SC.

Join us in congratulating these outstanding young athletes, along with their coaches and parents, on this incredible achievement. We're proud of the way they've represented Greenwood County Parks and Recreation and Greenwood County.

Congratulations to our Ninety Six 10u Volleyball team on winning their District Tournament. The girls will be moving on to play in the state tournament this weekend in Lancaster. We would like to thank Ninety Six High Athletics for the use of the gym and football field this past Saturday.
BIG SHOUTOUT to all of our Greenwood and Ninety Six Allstar teams (footbal and volleyball) on representing Greenwood County Parks and Recreation so good this past Saturday!!

Huge night last night over at Greenwood High School for Greenwood Parks and Recreation. Thank you to Greenwood Eagles for always being great host.
Congrats to our 10U football team on winning vs Ft Inn 16-8. With the win they advance to play Mauldin next week.
Congrats to our 12U football team on battling hard vs a very good Ft Inn team.

Now we move on to a Big Saturday in Ninety Six. Our 8u football allstar team is playing Laurens at 12:00pm. And we are hosting the 10u District Tournament for Volleyball.
Our 12u teams will be in Seneca playing for district.
