Imagine this….
You’ve been thinking for some time now about starting a new activity.
You want to get active, lose fat or maybe just feel better about yourself..
Or just actually start something cause it interests you!
But then “life happens” or you create excuses and somehow years past and you never start.
Imagine had you started where you would be?
We get excited about doing something and we may even start but continuing it and sticking to it is where the MAGIC is.
The compound effect.
The small screen of doing something small over and over and over.
1$ a day saved is 365$ in a year.
15mins working out is 91.2 hours yearly.
Starting is simple, it’s continuing that shows the real reward.
Ive been in jiu jitsu almost 7 years.
Some days I seriously feel like I need a white belt back on…
Other days I realize all the hours I’ve trained somehow show against guys 2x heavier then me!
THATS crazyyyyy to think.
If you’ve been thinking about starting something
DO it.
If you quit something you know was good for you.
GET BACK TO IT.
The last thing you want to do is look back and realize that what WOULD have compounded ..
Is still at the planting stage.
What could have been a massive tree, is still a seed.
Whats 1 thing your glad you started?☺️⬇️
(Try to guess mine 😂😂)

Want to know a secret??
I suck at losing😂 the competitive side in me STRUGGLES when I lose.
This is at pretty much anything—btw..
It can get to intense but honestly most women in jiu jitsu aren’t fans of losing ;)
During the last tournament I was in…was ROUGH.
It was not my day but one thing I have been working so hard on recently is my attitude.
We hear often, people show their true colors when it 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 go their way.
It’s 100% true.
In this picture I shared was awhile back..
It has nothing to do with winning. Yeah it was great —
𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦?
This woman is a mom, having started the journey post kids, and having the BEST attitude.
Her kids watching, her response after the match was so uplifting.
I’ll never forget it, but in a time where things don’t go our way.
How do we respond?
It’s important to find those takeaways.
Now back to the recent tournament😂…
Recently when I lost to an arm bar by this other savage I thought of two things.
1. That should not have happened (but it was soliddddd).
2. The work was put in and it showed.
She crushed it and it was crazy—
I was frustrated AND happy for her at the same time.
Yes winning is out of this world awesome, but it’s easy to have a good attitude when our hands raised.
The 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 learning point is—
Our attitude during the weak points.
Those reoccurring reactions bleed out into life.
Ive learned this more than id like to admit this year.
The mom right here showed me you can fight at any phase in life with a winning smile and attitude.
That’s what needs to show. That’s what will “stick” when kids watch you.
What will get you a winning spirit in your work place, relationships and better health.
At least that’s what I’m finding out.🙃
Attitude shows, like it or not 😘

The best time to start caring for yourself was yesterday.
The next best time is NOW.
This was the beginning of a journey and I began at 19.
Your thinking ohhhhhh, your young.
Maybe, but imagine had we began treating ourselves well even younger.
It’s important to see and be grateful for now, BUT…
It’s also crucial to see where you could be even sharper for future kids, generations and family.
What are did you start your BJJ journey?🤔⬇️⬇️

You get comments, opinions, and advice from so many people in life.
Some can be GREAT advice, and others...plain out destructive.
As you sharpen yourself be cautious who you give that mic to.
I recently read this in an incredible book called “Believe it” with
In reading that it encourage me to be aware of two things:
1. Who I am allowing to have that mic/higher volume who should NOT.
2.What advice/support am I getting to turn up LOUDER.
This is one area where I have really been working on the last year.
It was actually in this EXACT tournament that this changed everything.
There were a few seconds left of the match and I was down by points about to lose 3-5…
With a quick counter I slid into a back take and was headed right into a submission without holding 3-4 seconds
(If you know me, I like to finish things and not go by points).
But my coach yelled “Take the back and hold, you need to right now!”
So I did….held my position went up in points, than for a choke and time ran out.
Did not finish my choke due to time, but had I not listened, turned the volume up to the coach who I KNOW wants the best for me...I could have lost.
So, my question to you is...𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮?
𝐎𝐫
𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘶𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘥𝘰𝘮?
