Hyatt Motorsports

The last few weeks have tested the patience and determination of the Hyatt Motorsports team. Last week we broke before first round. Thursday at testing the throttle cable threw everything at us. Then yesterday the motor wanted to leak a little. All and all with everything we have had going on it was a great day. Rodney and Justin got the runner up!

Congratulations on the win Kaelyn!!!

We will go over the car in the off week and be ready to go for the next race!!!!

We want to thank god for giving us the opportunity to do this as a family and for all the friends that we now call family.

**UPDATED Schedule for tomorrow's race! We will be opening at 2pm tomorrow with time trials starting around 2:30pm. Chip Draw for the 5.30 and 6.30 classes will be around 4:30pm at the picnic shelter area behind the grand stands. Listen for the announcement to head over that way.

Saturday, June 13th the 5.30 and 6.30 classes return to Greer! We will also have our regular bracket program with Pro, No-Box, Jr. Dragsters and Sportsman!

Drag racing is 10% skill, 20% horsepower, and 70% explaining to people why you had to spend grocery money on “just one more upgrade.”

It’s setting five alarms for race day and still waking up before all of them because your brain is already doing burnouts. It’s calling a “quick pass” and somehow being at the track for six hours.

It’s that one friend who says “I’m done for the night” and then lines up three more times… for “data.”

It’s the smell of fuel, the sound of a cammed engine shaking your soul, and the sudden belief that lane choice is a personality trait.
And let’s be honest—half the race is won in your head while you’re sitting at the light like:
“Don’t red light. Don’t red light. Don’t red—” 🚦💨

But no matter what happens—win, lose, or “I swear it spun”—you’ll be back next weekend like nothing happened. Because once it’s in your blood… there’s no such thing as just one run😎

This week at Greer Dragway:

Thursday, April 16th: Practice & Grudge Racing 6:00-10:00pm, $15 cash get you in the gate to spectate or make passes!

Saturday, April 18th: Points Race #2- Gates open at 11:30am with Time Trials around 12:30pm. We will be running Pro, Footbrake, Sportsman, Jr. Dragster, Motorcycle and TCR. Spectator Admission is $15, Kids 6-11 $3, Under 6 is Free!

We had a great day at Greer Dragway yesterday. Rodney got the win and won Dash! Thank you Greer Dragway for a great race day and a great place to race! Congratulations to Kayden on a great finals!
