Bill Truswell's memorial service will be held this Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 1:30pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gresham. (507 W. Powell Blvd. - on the corner of Powell Blvd & Eastman Parkway) We are sharing his obituary below for remembrance and contribution requests from his family.

William "Bill" Truswell passed peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026. He was 90 years old, born in 1935.
Bill was a husband, father, salesman, avid golfer, boater, ski team instructor and always the guy in the crowd who was loved especially by kids and dogs.
Born in the small mining town of Trail, British Columbia, Canada, he spent a good chunk of his youth in the small town becoming involved with sports. He learned to ski, swim and played several ball sports.
He began his college career as a student at the University of British Columbia and then received a scholarship to Lewis & Clark College where he competed as a member of the school's snow ski team and earned extra money by becoming a ski instructor.
He met his future wife, Marcia, at Lewis and Clark. Married in 1957 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bill would serve on the church council, sing in the choir and become involved with church activities over the next 50 years. He officially became a naturalized U.S. citizen in the 1960s.
Bill and his family spent many weekends boating on the Columbia River and having cookouts on the beach. He also gave many kids at Trinity their first experience on a boat and helped teach them to water ski. For several years Bill was a snow ski coach for Gresham High School and would often have the team over to his house to hot wax their skis before competitions.
Bill's career was focused on sales. Over the years he worked at companies involved in plastics, pulp and paper, industrial chemicals and machinery.
After retirement, he spent much more time on the golf course and played in many tournaments often helping his foursome win first place. He also served as a Marshal at Gresham Golf Course which provided an after retirement "job" while allowing him to golf for free.
It was at the golf course Bill would find his pack of buddies. They became dedicated fellow breakfast mates and over coffee and eggs would solve the world's problems right there in the diner. Along with his family, this group became a great supporter after the death of his wife, Marcia, in 2019.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Michelle, and son-in-law, Rob; his son, Mitch, and son-in-law, Dan; as well as grandchildren Matt; Morgan, and wife, Kaeli and great-grandchild William; Nick; Marie, and husband, Grayson, and great-grandchildren Raymond and Evie.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel, in 1994, and his father, William Frederick, in 1966.

This camp is designed to give your junior the basic fundamentals of how to play the game. Classes will cover rules, etiquette, swing, putting and chipping. We will also be conducting a tournament on Monday, August 17 for their skill level and age groups.

Classes will cover etiquette, rules, basic fundamentals on swing, putting, and chipping. One lesson a week for 5 weeks starting

Wednesday mornings – 11-12pm – April 1st, 8, 15, 22, 29

Wednesday evenings – 6-7pm – April 1st, 8, 15, 22, 29

Intermediate Players:
(5) 1-hour lessons for only $119.00

This class is for the experienced player who would like to hone their skills and work on improving their on course play. One lesson a week for 5 weeks starting March 31, 2026

Tuesday evenings – 6pm – 7pm – March 31st, April 7th, 14, 21, 28

Thursday evenings – 6pm – 7pm – April 2nd, 9, 16, 23, 30

Friday mornings 11-!2am – April 3rd, 10, 17, 24, May 1st

It's that time of year again, and the barrels have been delivered so let the giving commence! We have TWO barrels this year - one for people, and one for our furry friends.🐾 If you're not sure what to donate, please refer to the Most Needed Items list in the photo for ideas, but know that anything you bring will be appreciated. Let's fill both barrels for our neighbors and spread some holiday cheer!

Tomorrow is the big day for our 3rd Annual Holiday Pop Up Market at Gresham Golf Course
We have some cool new vendors joining us this year, and many of our OG artisans will be back as well. We'll also have our raffle going all day again so be sure to grab your tickets as you come in the door. You don't have to be present to win - just be sure we have name & number on your tickets. We'll draw every half hour and I'll reach out to any winners not onsite at the time. All proceeds from the raffle go directly to Snow Cap Community Services.

Just a head's up - our DRIVING RANGE ONLY will be closed all day Monday, October 20 and from 7am until 3pm Tuesday, October 21, 2025 for aeration and winter preparation. The course will be open for play and all other practice spaces (chipping/pitching & putting greens) will be available for use. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.⛳️

GOLF POP UP happening tomorrow - Saturday, June 21st from 10am - 4pm with Pat "The Golf Guy" Hatten.
A portion of the proceeds fort the day will go to our own HAM & SAM Foundation.
Pat will have his usual set up, AND extra inventory from Jones Sports Co., Matchstick Golf, and SEAMUS GOLF and will be here RAIN or SHINE. Come on over and check out his gear, bring your trade-in clubs or just try out some of his stock. From new to gently used, and even collectibles and antiques, Pat has you covered.
