What an awesome morning out on the water! We had this fun group from Tulsa to target paddlefish. When we got to our spot we noticed a school of whitebass topping. It quickly turned into a whitebass smackdown for about an hour. We then caught roughly 10 bills and called it a day. We cleaned 63 whitebass on this trip along with some bills. Had some great new clients out for a fantastic morning of fishing on Grand Lake. We started out crappie fishing over brush piles and all of a sudden the whitebass started topping for an hour straight. We put 55 in the boat and called it. Giant gar on rod and reel being 24.6lbs with no eggs or food in it.
This gar in the spring time would have beat the Kansas state record!

Putting that BUBBA knife to work! This crappie trip was tough with the cold front and thick cloud cover. We caught a few here and there off a few piles. We then made a long run to a dock and pulled over 30 keepers in on that stop. The sun came out and help us out. We used minnows in 15 FOW. Thanks again guys!

This was a fun 4th of July trip on Grand Lake. We targeted crappie on brush in 15 FOW. While doing that all of a sudden a giant school of whitebass started to top for over an hour. We boated close to 100 fish on this trip and got a bonus gar. The gar was caught on rod and reel with my secret lure guaranteed to catch them. I got the cleaning part down on the gar. Only take a minute or two. Gar are fantastic to eat. The fry up great with pure white back strap like meat.

Captain JR set out on an afternoon paddlefish expedition this weekend. The boat traffic was horrible and waves over the front of the boat. Didn't stop this group from putting 10 bills in the boat. Biggest went 61lbs!

Had one heck of a time out with Darrin and his crew. We started out on crappie and put a small mess together. We caught a bunch of short fish but this was a really tough bite. The keepers would not come out of the brush. So we got paddlefish permits and stuck 3 bills as a back up plan.

Crappie beat down! We caught well over 100 crappie using minnows. We fished piles in 20 FOW and finished out on a dock we're we caught 80% of our fish. This was a super fun trip! We even hooked a big catfish on livescope but broke off in the dock. Look forward for next year!

What a great morning out on Grand Lake. Tyler booked a three trip weekend with us and today was the last trip. We had a blast! Tyler boated a world class big head carp at 91.1lbs, a 25 lb gar, and many big paddlefish. Biggest paddlefish on the trip was 55lbs. The paddlefish are deeper than normal with the cold nights. We didn't waste any time out there. We had fish after fish. Thanks again Tyler and can't wait to get back on them next April!

Had a great time out with these guys. We had to work for every bite. We had 0 wind out which makes it tough for cats. We moved many times boating 2-3 each stop even though they were stacked in most spots. We finally found an active school and filled the box with 20 cats. We used FRESH cut shad and cut them in very small pieces.

Good day of scouting! Found some keeper crappie, a few whites, and a good mess of blues. Grandpa's first time out with fast action catfishing. After two spots and 17 cats he was wore out. Fun times!

Great day on the water with my returning clients. As usual we hit crappie and built up a nice mess. We added with 25 crappie and a few bonus fish. They are stacked on brush super thick and loaded under docks. The magic depth on Grand Lake is 15-20 FOW. We used minnows, but any yellow or blue jig body could do the trick.

Holy Catfish! This was the fastest catfish action I have seen. We fished for roughly three hours and put 60 catfish in the boat to get a four man limit. The catfish bite is weird at the moment. Only doing good early in the AM and late in the evening. We used very small pieces of cut shad and only fished three spots. The third spot we pulled in 40 blues. Only three had eggs and all the rest were clean looking with no spawn marks.

A weekend full of paddlefish! Most of y'all know by now that I have JR helping me run paddlefish trips. He took our new clients out from Iowa and put a bunch in the boat. This morning we had storms and high winds role in which make it more difficult. That didn't stop this group from putting 10 bills in the boat! Had these fellas out the other day. They did great right off the bat and had a mess in the box before we hit our second spot. Biggest crappie came in at 15 inches! We focus on structure in 20FOW with minnows. Right now, if you can find anything in the 15-20 FOW range you will catch crappie. All the brush piles are stacked with 8-9 in fish. This fall is going to be epic for crappie!

Had Cary and Chad out for a catching trip. Pulled up to a point in 20 FOW and found one of the biggest schools of fish I have seen this year! They were roaming around and we went through 8 dozen minnows in 2 hours. We caught crappie, catfish, and whitebass in this spot and we never moved. Ended the day with 67 in the box and everybody was whooped. Thanks again guys!

Had a fun group of kiddos out on the big pond yesterday. We had hopes of finding some blues and as you can see we got it done. We fish shallow gravel points and only pulled a couple off them. I switched over to a mud point in 18 FOW and we had fish flying in left and right. We used small pieces of cut shad for bait. These kids are all super young but fished like veterans. They did great with the circle hooks and only lost 1 fish.

First day off in months and ofcourse I spent it fishing! Went down to Texoma and joined Shawn Summit with Sparky's Guide Service for some striper action. Hands down the best bite I have ever seen. Had our 50 plus a dozen or so overs we threw back in no time. Biggest one we had seen that day was just over 15lbs on his other boat.
