Groveport-Madison Cruiser Wrestling

Today your Cruisers Wrestling team took on sectionals at marysville. After a day full of great, hard matches we had some GREAT finishes!!
Will Grubbs finished 6th at 113.
DeMari Smith finished 6th at 126.
Deangelo Dukes finished 5th, district alternate at 150.
Mario Difazio finished 5th, district alternate at 165.
Ernesto Perez made it through to districts at 144 placing 3rd
Tyrel Weeks made it through to districts at 215 placing 3rd
All in all, today was a hard day of wrestling, tears, emotions, and we are so proud of each and every one of you!
Districts here we come!

Goodmorning cruiser family, as mentioned the other day we were hopeful for a reschedule for the tri meet that was canceled lastnight. Well here it is!
We have rescheduled!!
It is no longer a Tri meet, it is now a dual with Licking Heights. It will take place at Licking heights highschool tomorrow, Saturday January 31st, at 10am!
We hope to see you in attendance cheering on your cruiser wrestlers!

Good Evening cruiser family,
Unfortunately do to the lovely weather we’ve been experiencing, our Tri meet tomorrow Thursday January 29th, has been cancelled. We are hopeful for a reschedule, but not positive just quite yet.

We hosted Pickerington central wrestling on Thursday January 22nd
After going down early in the duel we had some big wins late and groveport came out on top 36-32 in a come from behind win

After a long weekend i have finally made it around to post about our two events
On Saturday our varsity boys wrestled in the “Lenny ball” we had 10 total wrestlers place top 4 including
William Grubbs -113 champ
Talen Thomas -120 champ
Rhode kuntshiakula-132 champ
Ernesto Perez-144 champ
Deangelo dukes-150 runner up
Mario difazio-157 runner up
Sam Lopez -165 runner up
Javis MacHarrie-190 3rd place
Garrett Hoffman -215 4th place

Then the girls followed the boys up on Sunday and wrestled in the “rams invite “
Took 3 girls with all of them winning matches
Aaliyah huff going 2-3
Laylianna wentz going 2-3
Lexie fox going 4-1 ended up in a three way tie for first criteria ended us getting 2nd place

Our girls are always at the boys events watching so some of the boys came along to support them which is amazing to see

We are back in action in a duel with teays valley Thursday then tournament with our middle Saturday 🔴⚫️
