New Groves National Little League

A special congratulations to Groves National Little League alumnus Khristian Curtis on making his Major League Baseball debut today!

🚨KHRISTIAN CURTIS TO MAKE MLB DEBUT TODAY🚨

A dream realized for Port Neches-Groves alum Khristian Curtis.

Curtis is set to make his Major League debut today in Cleveland, earning a spot as the 27th man for a doubleheader — a move that also places him on the 40-man roster. The call-up comes as his club looks to counter a lineup heavy with left-handed hitters.

He joins Ben Weber (2000-2005) and Lew Ford (2003-2012) as the only PNG players to play in the big leagues!

The Southeast Texas product has shown strikeout stuff all season, tallying 97 punchouts in 74.1 innings across Double-A and Triple-A. In Indianapolis, he’s continued to flash potential — including a recent outing where he allowed just one hit over 4.1 innings while striking out six.

Now, the next chapter begins — from PNG to the big leagues.

Game 1 is at 12:10pm and Game 2 is at 6:10pm. Both games can be seen on MLB TV. We will have highlights of his MLB debut tonight at 6pm and 10pm on 12NewsNow
