In a sport where only a fraction of athletes are willing to step on the mats of the arena floor, we are proud of all our competitors for making it to the IBJJF Boston Open.

Though the day didn't go as planned, the journey doesn't end. Enjoy the win, learn from the losses, accept the medals, and continue the journey.

Onward.

🟦 Congratulations Chris on your belt promotion! Chris is a dedicated athlete who trains with our noon crew. Thanks for missing all those meetings to make time for jiu-jitsu! 😆

Congratulations to everyone who earned a stripe! Progress is made on the mats and it shows!

We had some great wins and some tough losses. It was a day of challenges and overcoming nerves. We are proud of all the kids for stepping on the mats today. That in itself is a win. The hardware is a bonus. We will keep working and we will be back.

Seems simple. The person standing just has to get around the legs. The person on the bottom has to keep them from passing. It's a skill unlocked when the person on the bottom can make that task difficult. It requires following their partner, hip movement, coordination, and body control. Great job by all the kids!

Proof that a ⭐️ can’t hold its shape without a little back-to-back support. Also, this is why we were late to dinner last night. 🤭

Elise, when you're ready, we are very much looking forward to seeing you at your first competition. We've got your back!
