Meet Adam Smith, APRN.

Adam’s calling to healthcare wasn’t shaped by corporate systems or red tape, it started in a small town, much like Milton, where people take care of their own.

Adam earned his BSN from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009 and his MSN in 2011. He’s been AANP-certified since 2012 and has spent more than 13 years practicing as a Nurse Practitioner across rural clinics, emergency rooms, house calls, retail health, and even correctional medicine.

Along the way, he saw the same problem everywhere: conventional healthcare focuses on numbers, not people. Patients feel rushed. Providers feel burned out. Outcomes suffer. Nobody wins.

Blackwater Health was born from a better vision: patient-focused care that brings medicine back to what it should be: time, trust, and real relationships.

Today, Adam is proud to bring that experience home to Milton and serve the community he understands so well.

When he’s not caring for patients, Adam is on the water with his wife Brandy, their son, their daughter, and their three dogs, soaking up the same small-town life that shaped his calling in the first place. ❤️

Aiden tested for his junior black belt today! Aiden has been training with us for several years, along with his older brother, who started a couple of years earlier than he did. Aiden has toughness that exceeds what training teaches. He is definitely not a target for bullies. He is a defender of those who are being bullied. We are very proud of Aiden and love having him in the Core family.

Our juniors program prepares kids to excel in our adult programs while giving them the age appropriate skills they need now!
