Had my dad and my brother run the car this past weekend at Hattiesburg speedway. We had a good time and they did a great job. Finished the weekend without anything torn up. And we picked up a couple new fans this weekend. Thanks to everyone who came out. Special thanks to my niece and nephew, chase and Emily

🛑Friday night recap Hattiesburg Speedway🛑

I guess we can start it off by saying the new car blues got us!

We thrashed all week to get the new car together and it fought us every step of the way unfortunately. We arrived to the track and guess what…the car was not done fighting. From toggle switches to leaks to valves in the motor i could go on and on. This new car can put up a fight but fortunately for us we can eat a jab or two. After tons of work we make it to the feature and start 10th which we are excited about it. What can go wrong now? We surely have everything fixed since we have been from top to bottom on the car 19 times. We finish our 4 wide salute and line up double file waiting for the 4 car of Danny Smith brings us around to the green flag! Ladies and gentlemen we are hammer down……for about 10 seconds. As we enter into turn 1 a car spins directly in front of us and we have no where to go 🤦🏼‍♂️. Lucky for us Jeff had his belts tught and his tray table up for his short flight that ended with a couple little flips.

Now we can sit here and talk about all the negatives but lets go over some positive notes.
-The new car handles way better than our old one. Ive never seen a cadillac sprint car but this new Triple X Race Components chassis sure feels like one.
Not a lot was hurt on the car. Ofcourse we would of liked to seen no damage but what little we got we can live with.
-Jeff Smith is perfectly safe. A little sore but SAFE.

Got the car set back on the ground and cranked for the first time in 3 months. If we can get it finished and loaded we will be at Hattiesburg speedway tonight.

We finally set the motor in the new car. We have been waiting all year to get our aluminum ASCS heads on the car and good gracious have they fought us every step of the way. Thank to Philip Cumberland for coming over and helping us with this! Also thanks to Ronald Parker for all the machine work!

We currently do not have a ETA on the car unfortunately but we are working on it every chance we get to get back and finish the year off. We are excited for the new car and hope that all the money and hard work pays off and maybe we can even get a podium position this year.
