6-year-old Westphalian gelding by Spaceman/Stakkato

Checkmate competed in the 1.10m in Europe with an amateur and has really found his groove since coming to the US, where he is shining in the hunter ring.

He has a huge step, naturally walks the lines, an almost auto change, and an uphill, comfortable canter that makes him a pleasure to ride. Over the jumps, he gives an exceptional feeling. He takes a joke, doesn’t mind a less-than-perfect distance, and is the type that will jump from just about anywhere. He has lovely movement and stands out in the hack with his flashy looks and lovely way of moving.

He has the natural talent and scope to easily develop into a 3’6” horse and has the versatility to be successful in the hunters, equitation, or jumpers.
