Our staff recently had the pleasure of representing the YMCA of Coastal Georgia at Y-USA's General Assembly in New Orleans. We learned from leading experts about leadership and the power of creating connected communities in the place we call home. Good food and even greater company made the trip unforgetable. We miss the Big Easy, but feel energized to bring what we learned to our Y!

The fortune cookie originated in Japan and transitioned to the US in the early 1900s? Buy even more interesting is the fortune cookie didn't become the Chinese treat it is until post World War II when most Japanese run bakeries were force closed. When registering - be sure to choose the date 9/18/26!

Every child deserves a comfortable place to sleep and dream. 💙 Through our A Place to Dream outreach program, we’ve now delivered more than 800 beds to children across Chatham County, helping families create a comfortable space for their children to rest.

This work is possible because our community continues to show up. A heartfelt thank you to Livingood's Appliances & Bedding, Bank of America, New Life Faith and Family Church, Lions Club of Pooler, Rotary Club of Savannah South, Housing Authority of Savannah, and Savannah Fire Department for helping make this impact possible.
