Two Bulldogs reached the podium at the 5A stat wrestling tournament.

Senior Sebastian Garcia placed 5th at 126lbs. Sebastian started wrestling his sophomore year and was a region runner-up as a junior and senior. He also placed 5th in the state both those years. He finished his last match with a late third period fall to end a successful career for the Bulldogs. 🐾💪🏽

After losing his first round match, junior Thomas Clodfelter reeled off five straight victories to claim third in the state at 150 lbs. Thomas avenged his regional final loss with a pin in the second period to cap off his remarkable state tournament run. 🥉💪🏽

The Bulldogs finished 18th in the overall team standings, the second highest among Loudoun schools.

Four Stone Bridge grapplers will compete at the 5A State Tournament this weekend in Virginia Beach. Tournament starts at 10am on Friday and 11:30am on Saturday. You can follow the action on trackwrestling.com if you can’t make the trek to the beach.

The road to states starts tomorrow as Stone Bridge will compete in the Region 5D tournament at Freedom High School (South Riding) on Saturday, February 7.
