ENERGY DOESN’T AGE
Stone towers crumble. Mountains slide. Food goes bad. Hair turns gray.
But energy doesn’t age. It changes, but it doesn’t grow old, doesn’t fall part, and doesn’t disintegrate.
How ironic that we look at things and not what powers them. We value our computers and smart phones; as long as we can charge them, we think of the object.
We might notice when our elders move more slowly, but we worry about their wrinkles and stiffness, not the energy that they can no longer hold as in their younger days.
If we want to align ourselves with the eternal, shouldn’t we look at what doesn’t age? That’s why we explore qi. That’s why we practice Taiji. That’s why we follow Tao.
