Meet Maritza Rose!

Maritza is joining us this year in her first year as a Pumpkin Run Ambassador.

We love getting to know our ambassadors. We give them a series of questions ahead of time so that we can learn more about them. Each one of our ambassadors is fully integrated in their respective communities. It is a pleasure for us to introduce you to all eleven of these amazing individuals.

HMBPR: How does your role as an ambassador align with Senior Coastsiders’ mission to support the community?

Maritza: "I intend to bring excitement and awareness to Peninsula runners who share the values of the Senior Coastsiders. As a member of secular fellowship groups, I have friends from many walks of life in many different life phases. I champion inclusivity, compassion and gratitude through demonstration and gratitude."

Are you registered? Join us after the race at the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival where you can continue the day festivities and enjoy everything pumpkin!

Meet Hossein Saberi!
Hossein is joining us this year in his second year as a Pumpkin Run Ambassador.

We asked Hossein what he enjoys about running and how his role supports the local community.

Hossein: "Running helped me a lot, physically and mentally. So I always try to get more people in my community into running. Regardless of age, s*x, or any other factor, running helps your body and mind, as I motivate people to run, I believe I can help them to be in their better shape. Overall, running helps everyone and the community as the whole to be happy and healthy, and that's what we are all trying to do."

PSA!!!
BEWARE OF SCAMMERS trying to sell you "tickets" to any sold out distance in the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Run.

We have removed numerous posts where we have reason to believe that persons who have posted that they have "tickets" to sell are indeed scamming those who want to run in the event. There have been enough of these posts that we feel the need to make this announcement to protect you and our event.

Don't fall victim to someone who may not have a spot in this race.

You may reach out to us at [email protected] if you have been contacted by anyone with a spot to sell. We will help you confirm the legitimacy of this potential sale by checking our registration records. They (the seller) should be properly transferring their spot through Race Roster. Transfers can occur through October 1st.
