This morning was chilly 🥶 but I was able to get a great view and walk in with my Annie. Sometimes it’s just the simple things that can motivate you to get out and get some movement in.

Consistency is key 🔑

Do you think I want to exercise 5-6 days a week? Not always

Do you think I want to cook and prep meals all week? No not really

Do you think it’s possible to just create consistency to where you don’t even think of it as being a hassle? Absolutely it becomes routine

Just know you are not alone when you think it’s overwhelming because it is. That’s why sometimes we need someone cheering us on or showing us it’s possible to overcome the barriers that are telling us we can’t achieve it.

Let’s do this together 💪 Get out there and get a workout in and take care of your body

I was asked recently if I have any fitness goals and the answer is all the time. My current goal is to just feel good and continue to be consistent. They don’t have to be complicated. Sometimes we just need them to be simple enough that we know we can do it.

If your goal is consistency, weight loss, step goals, eating better, drinking more water…guess what it’s doable! Let’s start with a base goal and get there.

Nutrition Facts for this wintery Tuesday!

-Processed foods should be kept to a minimum

-There is no perfect diet for everyone. We all have individualized health goals which need to be accounted for.

-Fruits are not the problem when it comes to sugar content...eat the whole banana. The nutrition content is way more important. We need 2 cups of fruit daily just as standard guideline.

-Vegetables 2-2 1/2 cups is recommended daily. Have fun with it, try and make your meals colorful.

-Rising cost for fruits and veggies are increasing along with everything, try frozen foods they still have the nutritional value as fresh lasting longer.

-Protein can be found in several foods such as meat, poultry, dairy, beans, eggs, fish, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies.

-Water intake matters. You should drink at least half your body weight in oz of water daily or even better try and reach a gallon a day. GET THE FUN WATER BOTTLE, add your lemon, do what you need to keep you drinking it.

-Meal preps work for some people but not everyone and are worth trying if you are particularly busy during the week and need to keep to your goals.

I didn’t want to run 🏃‍♀️

I didn’t want to do back & biceps 💪

I got dressed gave myself 5 minutes of stretching to see how I felt…then I kept going and feel so much better. We all need to find our motivation and stay accountable. Just because I am a personal trainer doesn’t mean I am not human 😀
