Mercer County Martial Arts is incredibly proud to recognize Mrs. Rose, who was selected to represent Mercer County Martial Arts as a member of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards – Comprehensive Health and Physical Education (NJSLS–CHPE) College and Career Readiness Committee!

Today, Mrs. Rose joined educators, professionals, and stakeholders in Trenton for an amazing and highly collaborative session focused on reviewing and helping shape the future of Comprehensive Health and Physical Education standards for students across New Jersey.

Being selected to participate in this important statewide work is an incredible honor, and an opportunity to bring the perspective of martial arts, physical literacy, character development, wellness, and the families we serve into a larger conversation about preparing New Jersey’s students for the future.

This weekend, Mercer County Martial Arts had the privilege of joining our extended martial arts family for an unforgettable training event alongside Blue Life Karate and Rise Hightstown Martial Arts.

From the moment we stepped onto the mat, it was clear this wasn’t about three different schools. It was about one shared mission and one family.

Our students trained together, laughed together, challenged one another, made new friends, and showed what martial arts is truly about: respect, teamwork, perseverance, and community.

A huge thank you to Shihan Durand Howard, the students, and families from all three schools for creating such a welcoming and positive atmosphere. Events like these remind us that while we may train in different dojangs/dojos/centers, we all grow stronger when we support one another.

We’re incredibly proud of every student who represented their school with outstanding character, effort, and sportsmanship. You made us proud!

Here’s to many more opportunities to train together, learn from one another, and continue building lifelong friendships.
