The continuation of the rescheduled WIGA Week 18 event starts tomorrow at Gold Hills Golf Club and goes from Sep. 10th thru 13th. SPECIAL NOTE: The course is closed to WIGA play on Saturday the 12th for a large previously scheduled event so there will only be three days of play to schedule your round into.

For those 35 people that played on the original dates prior to the rain out, you are allowed to re-play your round this weekend at a reduced rate. Gold Hills has told us that you will only need to pay the $14 cart fee. If you do decide to replay your round your original score will be removed/replaced with the new one. We will send Danny the list of the players to check against to verify that they had played already to be eligible for the discounted rate. If you do not replay your round, the original score will be added to the scores collected this week and compiled.

Handicaps will not change from what they were when this event was originally held and can be seen in the link below and as always will be available at check in. So it is important that each player ensure they reference the hncp list prior to the round so you know which division to check on your scorecard and which tees to play.

Tee's are listed at the top of the Hncp Sheet and are as follows:
Payne Stewart Division (PSD) will play the White tee's for all 18.
Byron Nelson Division (BND) will play the Gold tee's for all 18.
Ladies will play the Red tee's, all 18.

Another nice increase in turnout for the Wk 20 event at Flint Hills Golf Course this past weekend. We had 122 total golfers this week with a ladies field again. Compared to 103 last year. Another record high participation event.

Championship week is here!!!

The week 21 Championship event starts tomorrow at Deer Run Golf Course and goes from Sep. 3rd thru 6th.

For those of you that we have an email address for, your inputs on the championship survey sent a month or so ago were reviewed and the vast majority would like to see this as a handicapped event. Please see the attached letter regarding how this event will be conducted.

Handicaps are calculated from all previous events excluding Gold HIlls due to the rain out. The link for the handicap sheet for this event is below and as always will be available at check in. Please be sure to reference it prior to your round so you know which division to check on your scorecard and which tees to play and mark on your scorecard prior to the round.

This event is limited to those that are eligible. To be considered eligible you must have played in 3 or more prior events in the '26 WIGA season. For those that qualify and play in the championship as well, you will also be eligible to be in the random drawing at the end of the year for one of two Free Passes for the '27 season.

Another nice increase in turnout for the Wk 19 event at Elks Lodge #106 - Keokuk, IA this past weekend. We had 123 total golfers this week with a ladies field again. Another record high participation event.

Since mother nature wouldn't allow us to get the Week 18 event at Gold Hills Golf Club completed, we have been working with Danny to figure out how we can complete this event. What we are going to do is play a continuation of the event the week after the championship, Sep. 10th thru 13th. with the exception of the 12th as they do have a big event that will close the course on that day and WIGA will not be able to be played on that date. So open dates will be the 10th, 11th, & 13th.

If you have already played your round on Thursday or Friday (Aug. 13-14th) your round will be counted in the field with the others that play in Sept. as if there was no delay. Additionally, Danny has graciously agreed to allow players that already played in the Week 18 event in August, to play again if they so choose to at a reduced rate from the standard $38 WIGA fee. If you do not replay in Sept., your score will be entered from your original round for this event. Those that wish to replay only have to pay the $14 cart rental fee. We have all of the cards and will know who played previously so please don't try to get the reduced rate if you didn't play there already, we will be checking names. If you choose to replay your round, that is the only round that will count, you can't choose which score to post. Again, we have all the scorecards from the Aug event and will know if you played a second time.

Handicaps will not change from what they were when this event originally started, the same hncp's will apply regardless of what scores are entered for you over the next three weeks. So please pay attention to what your hncp was for this event when you check in. They will have the original list at the check in desk again so mark the division you intend to play prior to your round on your scorecard based on it.

As far as this event going towards your eligibility towards the championship, we will not close out the event until after the Sept completion but if you played the event in Aug. it will count towards the three events played to qualify to be able to play in the championship and for the free passes given away at the end of the year. Obviously, season points can not be tallied up until all rounds are closed out so that announcement will be delayed until after the completion of all events

Sorry for the inconvenience but this seemed like the best approach to remedy what mother nature dished out to us. Hope to see you out there.

Unfortunately Gold Hills received more rain last night. We are suspending the WIGA there this week. We are discussing the possibility of holding this event after the championship. Stay tuned... sorry for any inconvenience.

Another nice increase in turnout for the Wk 17 event at Plum Creek Golf Course this past weekend. We had 89 total golfers this week with a ladies field again. That continues the trend of record setting participation at every event this year but one.
