🚨 15-Minute Assessment: Where Development Begins 🚨
Before we train, we evaluate.
At R.I.S.E. FIT Performance Training, every athlete starts with a 15-minute assessment so we can understand their movement, speed, strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
This isn’t just a workout it’s the first step in building the right plan for the athlete. 💪🏽

Jack Oliver (Illinois State), Ava (Akron University Softball), and Rico (Quincy University Track & Field) worked on our Matrix Performance Treadmill drill.
The 5-10-5 drill is designed to build speed, power, and proper sprint mechanics.
We start with 5 seconds of resisted knee drives (hands outside the knees, driving through resistance) to build force and sprint posture.
Then we transition into 10 seconds of fall-out sprints to focus on arm action, elbow drive, and acceleration.
We finish with another 5 seconds of resisted knee drives to reinforce mechanics under fatigue.
Speed isn’t just about running faster it’s about teaching the body how to move efficiently.
