🙏🥎 MORE THAN SOFTBALL.

Last night, Hammond Yankees Premier 14U and Hammond Yankees Softball 16U - Broussard came together for a joint practice.

We worked. We competed. We got better.

But the most important thing we did all night happened when practice was over.

We came together as one and prayed. 🙏

We want to develop great softball players, but our responsibility goes far beyond wins, losses, and what happens between the lines. We have an opportunity to pour into these young ladies, help build their character, and remind them that our faith comes before the game.

Softball will eventually end. The lessons, relationships, and foundation we help build can last a lifetime.

Thankful for both teams, our coaches, and the opportunity to finish the night exactly where we should — together, with our heads bowed and God at the center.

🥎🔥 2 GAMES. 2 WINS. GREAT DAY AT JONES! 🔥🥎

The Hammond Yankees Premier 14U made the trip to Ellisville, Mississippi today for the Jones College Softball Fall Showcase and came away with a 2–0 day!

🔴 GAME 1 — WIN, 8–3
Hammond Yankees Premier 14U defeated Blue Angel 14U Williams behind a fast start and contributions throughout the lineup.

We jumped out to a 3–0 lead in the first inning and continued adding runs in the second and third.

🥎 Nyla Babalola led the way with 3 RBIs and also threw 2 scoreless, hitless innings with 3 strikeouts in the circle.

🥎 Cecilia Akers added an RBI triple, while Alleigh Chauvin, Alexis Walker and Laila Domiano were among those collecting hits.

🔵 GAME 2 — WIN, 8–2
The bats stayed hot against MPACK Softball 14U, with the Yankees putting up 6 runs in the first inning.

🥎 Alleigh Chauvin drove in 3 runs, while Taylor Aydell also collected a hit.

🥎 Cecilia Akers and Taylor Aydell each stole multiple bases as the team finished with 7 stolen bases.

🥎 Baylee Stockinger worked 3 innings in the circle, allowing just one hit while striking out three.

And one of our favorite numbers from Game 2…

🚫 ZERO ERRORS!

Overall, it was a great day of softball for this group — 16 runs scored, 5 runs allowed and two wins.

But days like today are about more than the final score. Our girls had another opportunity to step onto a college softball field, compete against quality teams, experience the college atmosphere and continue developing their game.

A big THANK YOU to Jones College Softball and their coaching staff for hosting the Fall Showcase and giving these young athletes the opportunity to compete at a great facility.

We’re proud of the way our girls competed, represented our program and continued to grow together.

Back to work. Keep building. 💪

🥎 SHOWCASE WEEKEND! 🇺🇸

Hammond Yankees Premier 14U is headed to Jones College this Saturday for the Jones College Softball Fall Showcase!

We’re grateful for another opportunity for our girls to compete on a college softball field, experience the college atmosphere, and continue exposing themselves to the next level of the game. These are the opportunities we want to continue providing for our players as they grow and develop.

🥎 HAMMOND YANKEES PREMIER 14U — FALL 2026 🥎

Our fall season is set, and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead for this group! We’ve put together a schedule designed to challenge our girls, develop them, and give them opportunities to compete at a high level, including multiple college facilities and showcase events.

From Pearl River Community College and Jones College to showcase tournaments throughout Louisiana and Mississippi, we’re looking forward to seeing this team compete, grow, and represent the Hammond Yankees.

This season is about more than wins and losses. It’s about development, exposure, competing against quality competition, and preparing these young ladies for the next level.

The work continues. 💪🥎

A big thank-you to Jones College Softball for giving our #5 Cecilia “C-Rae” Akers the opportunity to attend their Prospect Camp!

We truly appreciate Head Coach Tori Dew, Assistant Coach Parker Conrad, and Assistant Coach Drew Fiala for sharing their time, knowledge, and instruction. We would also like to thank all of the Jones Softball players who were there to help throughout the camp, encourage the athletes, and make it such a great experience!

A great day of softball at Pearl River Community College 🥎

A special thank-you to Pearl River Wildcat Softball Head Coach Jake Loper and Assistant Coaches Kaylan Ladner and Tyler Dobson for welcoming our Hammond Yankees Premier 14U girls and giving them the opportunity to compete on campus today. We truly appreciate your hospitality and everything you did to make this a memorable experience for our players.

We are proud of our girls and look forward to returning to Pearl River Community College and playing there again!
