Tomorrow, November 16, will be Perch America's annual Wolf Lake walleye stocking. It will take place between 11am and 12:30pm at the t-pier by the PAVILLION. Time is tentative based on Chicago traffic.
Once the truck gets there, the fish will be released, immediately.

Our 25th walleye stocking will take place tomorrow, November 8, around noon at the Wolf Lake t-pier around noon. Followed by our final membership meeting of the year at 6:30pm at Indiana Harbor Yacht Club.

The East Chicago Chinook stocking will be between 7and9pm tonight at the East Chicago Marina.

Remember all. FINAL Perch America membership meeting of the year is on Wednesday at 6:30 at the indiana Harbor Yacht Club.

Although we hope you had a happy Mother’s Day, you might be sad to find your balloon landed in a local lake frequented by bald eagles and other protected species. Never intentionally release balloons and always do your best to secure them!

UPDATE: U.S. Steel has updated information on the closure of the bridge over the Burns Waterway. The bridge will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Wednesday as workers complete a survey of the bridge.
U.S. Steel officials have informed the City of Portage that the bridge over the Burns Waterway, which leads to Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk, will be closed until further notice for repairs.
The bridge is owned by U.S. Steel.
Those wanting to visit Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk can take an alternate route into the park.
Visitors may enter the park by turning north off of U.S. 12 onto Hillcrest Road at the entrance of Ogden Dunes. Follow the roadway just north of the South Shore parking lot, past the open air pavilion and then north into Portage Lakefront.
