Over the next few weeks, we're breaking down each HYROX station so you know exactly what you're getting into when you join us for class in Mandeville OR if you're training for our October 17th simulation.

We'll cover:
👉 What each station is
👉 What it takes to perform it well
👉 Common mistakes
👉 How to train for it

STATION 1: SKI ERG
1,000 METERS

The SkiErg is the first workout station after your opening 1K run. The goal isn't simply to go fast. It's to find a pace you can maintain while knowing you still have 7 stations and 7K of running ahead. It's meant to test:

Upper-body endurance
Core strength
Breathing
Pacing
Mental toughness
THE BIGGEST MISTAKE:
Going out too hot.

TRAIN IT: 4 Rounds
400m Run
500m SkiErg
Rest 2:00

Goal: Learn to settle into your SkiErg pace after running. Control the first 250m. Build from there.

Yeah, we’ve got two badass gyms. But the best thing inside them will always be our people.

People who show up every day to get stronger, healthier, and better than they were yesterday and somehow manage to pull the people around them up at the same time.

They cheer for the first rep and the PR. They notice when you’ve been gone. They make the hard days more fun and the good days even better.

The equipment fills the gym. The people make it Northshore Fit. 🩵
