Louisiana Bombers 18U Wainwright

There is new news for our Louisiana Thunder team. We are proud to announce we are moving to the Bombers organization. Look for our name to change on this page in the next couple of days. We will now be Louisiana Bombers 18U Wainwright.

Allyson Griffin attended pitching/catching camp this week at Southeastern University in Hammond, Louisiana with Coach Fremin and Coach Byerley. Allyson soaked up everything she could from these coaches to hone her skills as a 5A catcher.

Allyson Griffin attended the college prospect camp at Auburn University at Montgomery in Montgomery, Alabama today. This was an amazing experience for Allyson!🥎

Macy Nordstrom, Anna Cate Miller, and Lily Wainwright attended the College Coaches Showcase Camp in Denton, Texas on Wednesday, June 23rd. It was 9 hours of pitching, catching, OF, IF, and hitting!

This past weekend the Louisiana Thunder 16U girls endured scorching temperatures 🥵 (triple digits) and some great competition. After 17+ hours on the diamond, battling back from the losers bracket, 9 games played total and an entire “if” game, they came up 1 run short to a very talented La. Rampage team and brought home SILVER🥈in the FASA 2021 Fleur de Lis State Championship!

USSSA LOUISIANA STATE 16/18U CHAMPIONS🎉 What a way to end World Softball Day, June 13th, 2021🥎 This team came in on Sunday 0-3. They battled back and grinded with solid determination! 100 + heat, turf 130+🔥, rain and lightning delays. 6 games on Sunday to bring home the gold 🥇💥 Congratulations, Ladies!

Louisiana Thunder 16U placed 2nd in the Mizuno Ark-La-Tex Challenge May 30th in Shreveport/Monroe, Louisiana. We played 7 games and lost to a salty Bullet Mire team from Lake Charles. Both teams had a positive attitude and great sportsmanship.

Louisiana Thunder 16U placed 2nd May 16th in Broussard, LA at the Battle of the Best on Dirt in Eunice, Louisiana. It was the first weekend back on the field together and the girls played 9 games falling short in the championship game 3-1. It was such a fun weekend!

Congratulations to McKenzie Vestal for being named Geaux Preps “Player of the Week” and getting the job done for her high school team, West Monroe High School🎉 Kenzie is a utility player ~ able to pitch and play all over the field and an absolute beast at the plate. 🥎👏
