Hammond Area Recreation District #1 HARD #1, established in the 1990s, serves most of Hammond and the Seventh Ward, bordered by Tangipahoa/Livingston Parish and the Tangipahoa River.

The fields are busy, the sidelines are full, parents are cheering, and kids are giving it everything they’ve got.

That’s what we love about H.A.R.D. #1. It’s more than having a place to play. It’s having a place where our community comes together, week after week, to support the next generation.

Tots of Terror is back on October 30 for our littlest trick-or-treaters, ages 1–5! Bring the kiddos out for an afternoon of Halloween fun made just for them.

Calling all Tangi Parish educators! Hammond Area Recreation District #1 wants to treat your class to an unforgettable day out! We're giving away a FREE Field Trip complete with goody bags, mini giveaways, and access to our facilities! 🥳

What’s Included:
Pick your fun: Gym, Splash Pad, Field, or Playground! We'll provide all the sporting equipment.
Free goody bags and giveaways for the class!

Who’s Eligible:
Tangipahoa Parish teachers (Pre-K through High School, public or private schools).

Note: Groups are responsible for arranging their own transportation, and the winner will call to schedule their trip time.
