Been pretty quiet on here. Not running a big camera solo anymore but still filming hunts. Good luck tomorrow I'm headed to a high pressure spot in the morning that I've also seen a group of about 10 bully Jakes all together running the toms off. Hopefully I don't run into them yet. I've watched them chase the bigger birds off now for weeks but I think I have the roosts figured out... Gobble! Gobble!!!

Sony ax100 4k 100mps camcorder. I have 2 large batteries for it. Last about 3 hours of continuous use even in the cold like today. They are selling all beat up for $750ish on eBay. This would be a full set up including lightning camera arm with a couple quick connects to use in two different trees, manfrotto befree fluid head, fourth arrow monopod stake (great for run and gun turkey hunts), seven oak microphone rig, a couple remote controls. I'll cut a deal on everything if someone local wants it. Have at least $1500 in gear but I prefer not to list and sell it all separated. This isn't a Walmart camcorder. I do trades too... Try me I'll hook you up with a professional set up. Have some 360 cams as well but looking to keep them unless the deal is right.

Buddy talked me into leaving my four wheeler home (which has a brand new battery)and using his which was already there. Needless to say I'm hot from walking in but cut some tracks and see a decent buck crossing the road into here at 5am. Think I'll sit and enjoy the last sunrise of the season for me... Man are the turkeys gobbling on the roost this morning doesn't get much better

Today's photo dump from the hot and sweaty jaunt up the mountain today. My buddy Jason found the freshest sign. I found this stand with fresh ATV tracks going to it, but the rub is brown and the scrapes around the stand were filling with leaves.
Got some stuff to do in the morning then I'm going to a property I've never deer hunted before, but it was full of acorns when I was in there a few weeks ago turkey hunting. Just going to get up high on the oak ridge, put my noise amplifying headphones on and just sit and see what I learn. The baby .308 I built is so loud that I have to wear hearing protection even shooting just one time, so might as well use the muffs to my advantage.
NOT ALL MUFFS are the same. Don't spend extra money on the Walkers, they are not directional and you cannot pinpoint the sound. Get the cheaper Howard Leight Impacts and don't look back.

Rivers edge is all torn up with the freshest sign, but the activity happened all day at my other stand where the activity has been very slow and sporadic. I don't have child care for at least tomorrow, so the deer will get a rest from me. I also need to make room in the garage to bring in my excavator for the winter so I can tear it all down. Maybe I will edit the video of the screech owl coming into my deer calling sequence at day break yesterday. It was pretty neat. I will get out again a couple times this week just not sure when.

Met a guy in a boat from the Winslow area today. We both kinda looked at each other surprised as it's not an easy spot to get in to by foot or water. Wish I would have thought to ask him for a ride to the other side and back to get my drone which still lays in the swamp over there haha.
Can't bring myself to share the cell cam photo but let's just say I picked the wrong stand this morning... I'm alright, I'm pretty alright....
