Our Hampton Youth Club family joins communities across the country in placing bats outside our doors for Xavier Taylor.

What began as a normal day at the ballpark changed in an instant, reminding us all how precious every moment is. As parents, coaches, players, and supporters of this game we love, our hearts are with Xavier, his family, his teammates, and everyone affected by this unimaginable tragedy.

Baseball is more than a game—it’s a family. And when one of our own is hurting, we stand together.

Please keep Xavier in your thoughts and prayers. We are believing for strength, healing, and a miracle.

For the last 5 years, Coach Stephen Harford has poured his heart into Hampton Youth Club, helping young athletes grow not only as baseball players, but as young men. His passion comes from watching the kids—including his own sons—fall in love with the game, and his commitment to every player who steps onto the field.

Coach Stephen believes that while talent may open doors, character is what carries you through them. That philosophy is reflected in every practice, every game, and every lesson he shares with his players.

His advice is simple but powerful: “Take in each moment. Seasons don’t last, your impact does.” And that’s exactly what he’s done—creating memories, building confidence, and making a difference that will last far beyond the final inning.

Today we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Coach Tre Dodd, Head Coach of the 10U Shockers! ⚾💙💛

For the past 4 years, Coach Tre has dedicated his time to helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. What inspires him most? Seeing the kids’ desire to improve and reach their full potential.

His coaching philosophy is simple but powerful: “Teach them what no one ever taught you.” Through encouragement, laughter, and a commitment to every player’s development, Coach Tre creates an environment where kids can learn, compete, and have fun.

When he’s not at the ballpark, you’ll find him fixing cars, but his biggest passion is building relationships and making a positive impact on the next generation. In his words, Hampton Youth Club became more than a park—it became family.

Coach Andrew brings a mindful, uplifting, and developmental approach to the field while helping shape our young athletes both in baseball and in life. Inspired by his own dad— who coached him when he first started tee ball, he’s continuing that legacy by pouring into the next generation.

From encouraging players to “Live life to the fullest” to reminding future coaches to “Cherish the moments,” Coach Andrew leads with heart, positivity, and hometown pride.
