*RP/Campout Teaser*
From the journals of Stephen Siarson, who has not been seen since June...

Jul 1

I went to an ink artist this morning and had a series of straight lines tattooed up my shin to my left knee. The artist asked me why, and I responded it was to remind myself of the passage of time.

I am certain she thinks me a dullard for my choice of tattoo, but this should prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the curse is not spreading - that it is only my imagination the golden metal encasing my leg has begun to spread.

Jul 15

The curse of Tzeentch is spreading. My leg is unquestionably an inch more encased in gold.

I am tending to it tonight with healing spells. I pray I can reduce the curse back to what it was.

Aug 2

I have sent out adventurers out to land search, and withdrawn to the monastery. It is quiet now; I can tend to the curse, administer healing spells five times a day and bathe daily in a cold pool of consecrated water. The gold continues to creep up my left leg. I found some this morning on my right ankle, and a speck on my left elbow.

Reading back through my journals, I hope to find some indication of exposure to something which may have reawakened the curse. If I can trace the cause, perhaps I can find a solution.

Aug 12

Nations are at war. There are confusing reports of a dispute between the Church of Cath and the Dogmenians. I hope no one thinks it strange I have not gone to intervene. Long travel is no longer possible, and this persistent pain makes it difficult to think.

I am writing to the monasteries in Beinnrigh and Lamerin to see what they may know that could help, but I have not told them the reason behind my inquiry. It seems best to keep my condition secret for now. I would not want to incite panic among my people.

Friday:
-Set-up starting at 12PM
-Rules and Lay-On at 7PM

Saturday:
-Check-in from 10-12PM
-Rules and Lay-On at 12PM
-Lay-Off in the later evening, followed by a communal campfire

Sunday:
-Clean-up and depart by 12pm

FEES
-Campouts cost $10 and get you 3 credits.
-Extra Credit Buy: A $5 donation to the club gets you 1 extra credit; a $10 donation gets you 2 extra credits.
-That means, for $20, you could get 5 credits at Campout!

PARKING
Parking will be in the field by the road. Ropes and stakes will demark the parking boundary.

BUILDINGS
We do not have access to the building. Port-a-potties and a hand-washing station will be provided.

FIRE
Fires must be contained in above ground portable fire pits and ashes must be disposed of in the big on-site fire pit.

FOOD
Members will be responsible for their own food. Alcohol is allowed, but must be consumed in your camps. Wal-Mart and a variety of fast food and sit-in restaurants are about 10 minutes from the location.

* Armorless and classless
* Single and Board
* Great weapon
* 3 man freestyle
* 5 man freestyle
* Single
* Highlander dagger fight - everyone fields w one dagger and fights until one winner is left.

3 points for first 2 for second 1 for third in each category
Most points wins grand champion

EVENT TEASER for 9/13

The Ralkean Empire vanished into another realm, despite the best efforts of its people and their friends in Eileana’Reult. Together, the Ralkeans and Eileanans formed a unified kingdom, the Sovereign Isles of Light. But the Ralkeans never forgot - nor stopped yearning for - their home capital of Lamerin.

Two years ago, the realm met a djinn who granted fantastical wishes. The nomad ranger, Mairwen, won the greatest Djinn’s wish, and in trade with Sovereign Isles, the djinn’s power summoned the lost city of Lamerin into the northern lands of the Isles. The city arrived with two hydras at its gates. The land searching party bravely slew the hydras and all of the Sovereign Isles celebrated.

The city of Lamerin is wealthy, and the city is kind to its visitors. Additionally, word on the street is that an old artifact of cultural significance was recently seen, somewhere near Smithy Street and Jeweler’s Lane. If among the winding roads, rooftops, and secret rooms, you happen to find our missing artifact, you will be handsomely rewarded.
