Hello, Our goal for 2023 is to present our first scholarship in June. Your donation will make this possible to provide additional training for a local dancers in the Hampton Roads area. This photo is of Muriel Evans the woman who inspired the establishing of this Committee.
Muriel and her husband, Edgerton founded The Academy Of Ballet in 1948 in and the performing company Hampton Roads Civic Ballet in 1959. She continued teaching ballet classes until 2012.
Old Hampton Ballet Recognition Committee is proud to honor the memory and legacy of Muriel Evans with establishing EVERY CHILD SHALL DANCE SCHOLARSHIP. With your donations, we are looking forward to presenting our first dance scholarship in June 2023.
