Tekkikan Competition Team

Congratulations to the Tekkikan Competition Team for showing out on our home turf of Virginia. The 2023 NKF Championships concluded this past weekend in Richmond, Virginia in which we consisted of 19 competitors and 3 coaches. The team brought home 9 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 18 bronze medals. Thank you to all of our supporters, and competition team parents who make our jobs much easier.

Special congratulations for our first Junior National Team member Kinoe woods for securing 2nd place and a ticket to Chile in late August. Iva Hobson and Josiah Pettaway also placed super 3rd and will be in the Junior Team Pool.

Lastly, huge s/o to our team captain Eric Jones, who won gold in Elite Mens -84 Kumite. He will be going to Senior Team Trials in early 2024.

Congratulations to our amazing team who competed in the Mountain State Karate Championships this weekend! Each athlete gave their all and demonstrated incredible sportsmanship by supporting each other and listening to their coaches. We are so proud of our team, and It's inspiring to see how the discipline, focus, and perseverance of karate have brought us together.
