Dependable and reliable are synonymous, however, in my world they are separate character traits.

I’ve got friends who are dependable and I’ve got friends who are reliable, but I’ve got far fewer who I can depend on to be reliable.

Let’s expand on that a bit more, and put it into a club setting. You as a brother in your club should be able to rely and depend on every single one of your brothers no matter what. Same goes for them towards you.

Have you ever had a friend or brother though, that sure if they tell you they will come by and help you with something you can rely on them to be there at some point. Yet that same friend or brother you wouldn’t depend on them to be there at a specific time. I know I sure do truthfully your a lier if you say you don’t.

Good brother of mine tells me this about one of his friends often. “If I was hanging from a ledge and had the chance to call one person to get there in time to save me that guy is the last person I would call.” That same guy though you could rely on him to get something done for you… eventually.

Moral of the story if you can’t be both reliable and dependable your failing your brothers and your friends. If you say your going to be somewhere at a certain time. Then be there on time or even better be fifteen minutes early because if your on time your fu***ng late.

Make sure your brothers can depend on relying on you.
