The fun and games continue on Wild Horses 🐎 Never thought getting water to two heads would be so difficult. Typical poor British engineering… Darryl Cooper continues to be a rockstar!

After being in the water 9 months after a year long refit due to the allision; just completed a 5 day mini refit focused on plumbing. Like all projects, what started with replacing a fresh water tank pump and an overboard discharge through hull, grew…. Cannot thank Darryl Cooper enough for his hard work and attention to detail.

Overboard discharge through hull threads were cracked allowing the ball valve to leak when opened. Second through hull now uncapped to allow raw water pickup to service the aft head. These bronze Groco Through Hulls and Ball Valves ought to outlast my ownership of S/V Wild Horses.

Short haul out this morning for some through hull and ball valve work! Professional crew at Safe Harbor Bluewater. Special thanks to Sara Howe working the bow this morning.

Great day on the water this past Sunday with the Sandy Fuller Spicknall family! Winds in the high teens out of the South, gusts to mid 20’s, sea 1-2’ and a high of 89F! Hampton to Cape Henry Light and back. Cannot thank enough Jim R***r, Patrice Widener Carroll, and my bride Sherry Riley Watt for helping making the day a huge success. Thanks also to Rick Howe and his daughter Sara, whom made getting s/v Wild Horses underway possible. Blessed to have these friends!
