Big Thanks Rockstars Ryan, Chris, Nigel, Shanti and Derek for throwing out Oktoberfest 1 to put the motor back in the boat. Excited to plum up and motor out soon!

What a long strange trip; For the last 2-years or so our ole' GM10 has been passed around a bit - With a little fix here and a little fix there, she came back to life last Friday. We're putting her in this evening (sacrificing Oktoberfest no. 1) so we can get back to serious business. Thanks everyone!!!! So appreciate my tribe!

Sometimes when I run aground it's not my fault- But usually it is.

Huge thanks Rockstars!! Chris and Nigel did amazing bow work, Derek and Ryan were solid trimming and Mark on main and braintrust absolutely killed it! You sailed well tonight! Thanks "Rumblers" for the tow out! Epically great to see Tom! It takes a village for sure and I'm fortunate to have such an awesome sailing tribe in my life.

It was a solid 8-12mph Easterly. The Race Committee chose Course D and that ended up being absolutely perfect! We enjoyed a 2.9 mile reachy-run down to Mark N (233'). Despite the bottom being crunchy, we moved pretty good. Ryan and Mark trimmed well. The scenery was outstandng!

The bow team was flawless in getting the jib up quickly, kite down and ready to tack as we rounded N. Speed was good and then it wasn't; thinking we were a little over zealous in barber hauling the jib. We pulled it and picked back up but we let a couple get past us on the 2.9 mile beat back to A (053').

Another kite set as we rounded A heading into the creek, a 1 mile reachy-run on the opposite tack ('347). Again the bow was ready to go having moved the rig. It was dark and we were a bit over stood so we got to set a little early.

Man what a great season closer. Thanks Hampton Yacht Club for running mid-week racing. We had a great rotation of solid crew all year long and if the fleet went out- We were there! Sad to see the series end but we are excited to keep the party going with the CCV Racing Oktoberfest series starting next week. Hopefully we can get the reef on the bottom as this series is scored. See ya next week race fans - thanks for reading this far!
