Iβm Dex. I take conversations about life, identity, and fatherhood and make them practical and honest.
This is a space for real talk about reconciliation, growth, and learning how to be human one step at a time.

Community, not just choreography.
Feels good walking into a room and actually knowing the steps.

I feel grateful to have created Step Through History for World AIDS Day.π This project brought together health, line dancing, and history in a way that was both fun and meaningful. Working with Letrice and CAN Community Health, we created an experience where people learned by moving together.π
βWe buried our friends in the morning, we marched in the afternoon, and we danced all night.β β Dan Savage.
That idea was at the heart of this project.
Participants traveled from 1981 to 2025, learning about important moments in HIV history alongside classic line dance songs many of us know. Dances like the Electric Slide and the Cupid Shuffle marked different eras and memories, showing how far weβve come. The room was full of energy. People learned, reflected, laughed, and danced, many experiencing HIV education this way for the FIRST time.
Step Through History proves that movement, culture, and community can make learning truly memorable. You can find the full article in the comments.
Book me for your next event, workshop, or community gathering! π€
