Well said, Recruit Baseball. Thanks for competing here- we love the uniforms!
History. Tradition. The Recruit Way.
Today, Recruit Baseball 17U Red had the incredible opportunity to compete at Historic Hamtramck Stadium and came away with a 12-2 victory.
While we’re proud of the result on the field, today was about much more than baseball. Hamtramck Stadium is one of the few remaining Negro League ballparks in America and was once home to the legendary Detroit Stars. Some of the greatest players in baseball history played on these very grounds, helping pave the way for generations that followed.
What makes this experience even more meaningful for our organization is that our Sunday pinstripe uniforms are modeled after the historic Detroit Stars uniforms. To watch our players take the field wearing those pinstripes at the very stadium where the Stars once played was a special moment for everyone involved.
Baseball is about more than wins and losses. It’s about honoring those who came before us, respecting the history of the game, and understanding that we are all part of something much bigger than ourselves.
Congratulations to our players and coaches on a great team win and an unforgettable experience. We are grateful for the opportunity to compete on one of the most historic fields in America and to continue carrying forward the traditions that make this game so special.
History honored.
