Something special is happening this November.

The US Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation is hosting the World Moo Duk Kwan Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa — senior dan testing — in Minneapolis, Minnesota, November 13–19, 2026. Right alongside it, November 13–15, is Moment with the Masters, where practitioners from around the world train side by side with senior instructors in our art.

This is the kind of event that reminds you Soo Bahk Do is bigger than any one dojang. It's a living tradition, carried forward by a global community of students and teachers who all showed up the same way you did — one class at a time.

Whether you're a beginner or a senior belt, events like this are worth knowing about, even if just to see what's possible down the road.

We’ve been piloting something special at the North Country Tournament: Exhibition Sparring for Dan members. Competitors are assigned an unfamiliar partner by random draw. They have one minute of continuous, non-contact action to show us the best of what they can do - together.
