September is Fall Prevention Month, and we're celebrating one of the people who has helped generations of Y members stay active, balanced, and connected: Peggy L.
For more than 20 years, Peggy has shared her passion for Tai Chi at the South Shore YMCA, helping participants improve balance, flexibility, strength, and confidence in a supportive and welcoming environment. Through her expertise, encouragement, and genuine care for others, she has created a community where people feel empowered to keep moving, stay independent, and live well.
As we recognize Fall Prevention Month, we're grateful for the impact Peggy's classes have on the health and well-being of our members. Tai Chi is just one of the many ways the South Shore YMCA supports healthy aging and fall prevention.
Through our Medical Wellness and Prescribe the Y programs, we provide evidence-based support for individuals in every phase of life, from managing chronic conditions and recovering from illness to building strength, improving balance, and maintaining overall wellness.
Thank you, Peggy, for more than two decades of dedication to our YMCA community. Your impact extends far beyond the classroom, helping members build confidence, connection, and healthier lives.
