What do YOU call this choke? 🦂

We’re calling it the Scorpion Choke.

Started with a north–south choke, moved to his side, hooked the leg, and leaned back—all while keeping the neck grip.

What happens when a bully grabs your child from behind and tries to choke them?

Would they know what to do?

Bullying isn’t always verbal. Sometimes it becomes physical, and knowing how to protect yourself can make all the difference.

In this video, we’re demonstrating a defense against a rear naked choke attempt using traditional self-defense techniques passed down by Grandmaster Relson Gracie.

At Rising Tide Hi-Tech, we believe the best way to stand up to bullying is to develop the confidence, awareness, and skills to protect yourself.

🥋 Learn practical self-defense
💪 Build confidence and resilience
🧠 Develop composure under pressure
🤝 Learn when to stand up for yourself and when to walk away

We don’t teach kids to be bullies. We teach them to be confident enough that they don’t have to be.

Every child deserves to feel safe, capable, and confident.

🔥 Give your child the tools to stand up to bullying.

What if the person attacking you is twice your size? 🥋

You may not be able to match their strength, but you can learn how to use leverage, timing, and technique to defend yourself.

That’s the foundation of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

Here, Coach Nina demonstrates practical self-defense techniques against:

🥋 Takedown attempts
💪 Bear hugs
🔒 Choke attempts

Size and strength matter. But technique can help level the playing field.

At Rising Tide Hi-Tech, we believe self-defense should be accessible to everyone—regardless of age, size, strength, or athletic ability.

Whether you’re concerned about bullying, personal safety, or simply want to build confidence, learning how to protect yourself is an investment that lasts a lifetime.

You can’t choose the size of someone who threatens you. But you can choose how prepared you are.

🔥 Start your self-defense journey today!
