The Gold Star Game is more than a football game.

It is an opportunity for our community to come together and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country while supporting the Gold Star families who carry their legacy forward every day.

During the Gold Star Game, Central Dauphin football players and cheerleaders are paired with the family of a fallen service member. Throughout the evening, these young men and women proudly represent their assigned hero. In one of the most powerful traditions of the night, the names announced over the stadium are not the names of the athletes—but the names of the fallen heroes they are playing for.

To be selected to represent a fallen soldier is considered one of the highest honors within our program, and reflects the players who participated in the most community service and showed leadership both on and off the football field.

As we prepare for this year's Gold Star Game, we are seeking individuals, organizations, and local businesses who would like to partner with us in making this special event possible.

Current Needs

💛 20 Yellow Roses

Presented to Gold Star families as a symbol of remembrance, gratitude, and support.

💛 Two (2) Four-Seater Golf Carts

Used to transport Gold Star family members onto the field during game-day ceremonies and special recognitions.

💛 Financial Donations

To help host Gold Star families traveling from out of town.
To support future Gold Star Game initiatives.
To help fund one of our long-term goals: a dedicated Gold Star Family Branded Golf Cart that can be used for future events and family recognition ceremonies.

As a thank you for supporting this mission, every donor will be recognized FREE OF CHARGE in our brand-new Gold Star Game Program, highlighting the individuals and businesses that helped make this event possible.

The program will be distributed to every attendee entering Landis Field on Friday, October 23rd, providing valuable community recognition while helping us honor our fallen heroes and their families.
