❤️🖤 Senior Spotlight: Nikoi “Pinky” 🖤❤️

It’s hard to put into words what this moment means.
From the time she could walk, she could dance. 💃🏽❤️ The studio has never just been a place for Koi...it’s been home. She has literally grown up in front of our eyes, spending countless hours in the studio perfecting her craft, learning, teaching, choreographing, laughing, crying, celebrating victories, and pushing herself to become the incredible artist she is today.

Yes, being the Director’s daughter meant she was surrounded by dance her entire life. But talent alone doesn’t create excellence. It was her work ethic, discipline, determination, and willingness to put in the work that made her one of the most versatile dancers we’ve ever had. Whether it was jazz, hip hop, (which she did not grow up dancing) contemporary, lyrical, tap, or anything in between, Koi found a way to make every performance unforgettable.

She’s not only been a dancer, but a teacher, choreographer, mentor, and role model for so many of our dancers and our Elite Team. Her impact on Yazmine Dance Studio will be felt for years to come.

In October, our Pinky is trading the East Coast for the West Coast as she heads to Los Angeles to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), where she’ll major in Dance with a minor in Content Creation. Watching you chase the dream you’ve worked for your entire life is one of the greatest joys we could experience.

Koi, remember that every pirouette, every rehearsal, every competition, every national title, every late night, and every sacrifice has led you to this moment.
Los Angeles has no idea what’s coming. ❤️

Some people make an entrance...Giu makes an announcement. 😂 We always knew when she was walking into the building because somehow, we could hear her before we saw her! Between the sarcastic one-liners, the endless laughs, and the commentary nobody asked for (but everybody needed 🤣), life at YDS will definitely be a little quieter without you.

But behind all that personality is a young woman who has led with confidence, passion, and heart. As our Captain, you pushed your teammates, celebrated their victories, and reminded them to have fun along the way. Thank you for lifting everyone around you.

Now our 2025 Miss Congeniality, “The Class Act,” is headed to Howard University to study Biology, and we couldn’t be more excited! The DMV is about to experience exactly what we’ve been blessed to have for years: your big personality, your infectious energy, and your determination to succeed.

Giu, never lose your voice, your confidence, or your sense of humor. Keep making people laugh, keep breaking barriers, and keep showing the world what happens when intelligence, leadership, and authenticity all come together.

Howard University isn’t just getting another student... they’re getting Giu. And trust us, that’s a whole experience. ❤️🖤

Senior Spotlight Saniah AKA Sassy!!!!!

❤️🖤 **Senior Spotlight: Saniah “Sassy”** 🖤❤️

If confidence had a face, it would be **Sassy!** 🔥

From the moment she stepped on the floor, Saniah owned every beat with her fierce hip-hop style, effortless freestyle skills, and undeniable stage presence. She never just danced the choreography, she made it her own. Watching her perform has always been a reminder that confidence and authenticity go hand in hand.

Beyond the talent, we’ll miss the helper she has always been. Whether it was lending a hand, encouraging her teammates, or bringing that fun “Sassy” energy to every rehearsal.

Now it’s time for our girl to trade dance shoes for styling chairs and hair scissors as she heads to Lancaster Cosmetology School to earn her cosmetology license. We know she’ll bring the same creativity, confidence, and passion to the beauty industry that she brought to every performance.

Saniah, thank you for every freestyle, every laugh, every fierce performance, and every memory. Keep being unapologetically YOU, keep chasing your dreams, and keep showing the world exactly why they call you Sassy! 💇🏾‍♀️✨
