Breaking my social media hiatus for some funny and some serious Haunted Houses.

Which one of these is scariest for you!?

Halloween is always such a mixed bag of emotions for me. I love making costumes, dressing up, and all the silly spooky things happen tonight.

But it also makes me miss my mom a lot because she handmade all my costumes from birth til I could make them myself... then she was there for ideas and to help when I got stuck or messed up 🤍

Because of these core memories I have around the holiday, I'm going to try to make Ady's halloween costumes every year, too. Later tonight, you'll see a post of her dressed up!

Maybe oversimplified, but that doesn't make itnuntrue.
If you don't know where you're going, how will you ever know if you get there... or how will you know if you're even getting closer?

Know what you want and why.
Understand yourself deeply.
Keep your mindset and actions aligned with your life and goals.
Support yourself and use the tools you know.
Ask for help and support for the things you don't know, are new or you have difficulty with.

Then keep showing up.
On good days. On bad days.
When it's easy and when it's tough.
After you've been consistent for a while
And after you've hit some struggles.

Self-care isn’t a luxury, babe.

It’s not something you squeeze in when you’ve got an extra five minutes or when you’re already burnt out.

It’s a responsibility.
Yes, you heard me right.
A responsibility to yourself, your health, and your happiness.

You owe it to yourself to make self-care a priority, not an afterthought.

You've heard it before, but it's true - You can’t pour from an empty cup!

When you take care of yourself, you’re better equipped to handle life’s demands, enjoy the moments you've got, and show up fully for those who depend on you.

Your family and friends deserve a taken-care version of you, not the short-fused, scraps-only version that comes from making everyone except yourself a priority.

This needs to be a non-negotiable part of your routine. Whether it’s taking a quiet moment in the morning, setting boundaries, or finding joy in the little things, it all adds up.

Remember, self-care isn’t selfish; it’s essential. When you thrive, everyone around you thrives too.
