Hump Day Range Tip: Is Your Bipod Holding You Back?
When it comes to squeeze-the-trigger accuracy with P*P air ri**es, your front support is just as critical as your barrel or pellet choice. A solid bipod turns a good bench session into a laser-focused one.
Here are three quick things to keep in mind when choosing or setting up a bipod for precision ai**unning:
Cant & Pan Adjustment: Ai***ns are sensitive to cant (tilting left or right). Having a bipod with a quick-locking cant mechanism lets you level your reticle perfectly on target every single time without adjusting leg lengths.
Rubber Feet vs. Spikes:
Rubber feet perform best on hard surfaces like wooden shooting benches or concrete.
Spikes or claws bite into dirt, turf, or gravel to prevent slipping when loading forward pressure into your shot.
Mounting Position: Mounting your bipod as far forward on the Picatinny or Arca-Swiss rail as possible increases your stability triangle, minimizing slight hand tremors or breathing movement.
