This weekend at DARK K9 Never Forget event was truly one to remember. An event filled with laughter, cheering, good friends, great dogs, and yummy food. The camaraderie is part of why we do these sports with our pups.

⚔️Kratos earned his DMX2 this weekend. In facility finals he placed: 1st master vet distance, 1st master vet AR, 1st junior vet HD… earning 1st Sapphire Vet HARD Charger

🌊Frey gave up it her all but no finals placements other than working her b***y off for 1st Topaz Vet HARD Charger! She also earned her ASX2!

🔥Fletcher ended up as 2nd senior vet AR, 2nd novice vet HD, 1st senior vet distance. He earned his ASX3!

🗡️Merc 3rd senior vet AR, 2nd senior vet HD, 3rd senior vet distance. Turkey bird earned his HDSA and his DSX3!

♠️♥️♣️♦️Wager 1st elite AR, 2nd senior HD and was 2nd Diamond HARD Charger!

🛡️Ajax 2nd master AR and was 3rd Diamond HARD Charger!

Our Team FPZ additional for the weekend…
🌎Atlas took 1st junior distance lap, 1st senior HD lap and 1st Topaz Lap HARD Charger! He earned his HDSX and AJX2! He had a great time being feral with Sarah and was knocking on the door of his HD PB!

Anytime we get on these docks with our dogs it is always the best time. You never know when it may be their last time. To be trusted with other people’s dogs and being on the dock with them is such a high honor. We love competing with all the pups and can’t wait for our next event! We have one more big dock event prior to NADD Nationals… let’s go!!

Rounding out the crew is our cheerleaders! GG and Peachy.

GG tagged along to get some practice pre-Regionals with us, soak in the busy event, get some snacks, and then compete with us after Regionals! She was definitely VERY happy to clean Peachy's dinner bowls when she was done eating. GG also believes that it is the high dishonor to ask her to pose for photos.

Peachy enjoyed pets from all the Atti'Tudes at Lati'Tudes Krewe, eating treatos, and judging everyone from her bed.

Finishing out the competitive pups is Kitsune! Honorary Team FPZ member!

This is Kitty's first time really doing all of the disciplines with NADD and we are so honored to be able to bring him with us and work with him throughout the season. He truly is one of our own. Kitty brought his A game and showed up at Regionals! He started out in the Master division of AR and grabbed 20', 21', and 22'. Barely missing 23'! For distance, he had a Master avg and amazed us with two 24'3" jumps! In HD, he really turned on the jets and BARELY missed a new PB swimming a 15.193s time. Hopefully he will get a few roll down invites but overall, we are just so proud to see him excelling and doing so well in such a short time! He also placed 7th in Diamond HARD Charger!

Sixth is Ajax! The (not so) baby boy!

This is Ajax's first season and he is doing all the things and taking the dock like a true natural - trying his best to follow behind Kratos' footsteps. He squeaked into Elite distance with a 24'10" avg and did his best but came up a bit short with his best jump being 22'3". In AR, he grabbed 18', 19', and 20' securing a new PB!!!! Woohoo!!! HD time.... he is still learning the game and mom messed up his first attempt by being a bit too loud for him in the morning (fair) - swimming a 20.### (still not bad for some of his attempts!). Second time around, mom was a bit more quiet with him and he SHOT off the dock and swam like a big boy, snatching the bumper and spitting it as soon as he heard his reward toy. He rocketed out a 15.5xx time - shattering his previous PB by almost 2 seconds!!! We are so proud of him going from a junior avg to a master swim score! We cannot complain one bit about this boy and his successes at not even 2 years old. Looking at HARD Charger rankings, big man ended up 15th in Diamond Open. We cannot wait to see how this guy takes to the dock for the 2027 season... we're coming for you big pups!

Fifth is Wager!

Wager had a rude awakening with his 22' season average landing him in the Elite AR division but he was ready for it! Not sure what happened with his first weird attempt at 21' but he grabbed 21' the second time, grabbed 22' and double missed 23'.. I am so proud that he grabbed within his division with all the other amazing pups! In distance, he jumped within his master division with a respectable 22'9". We're hoping to continue working on his distance and help him retrieve his uppie outies - which are still sometimes lost out there. His HD swim on Sunday was not his best - 16.316. Still a good lower avg time for him but not enough for the master HD division standings. Better luck next time buddy!

Despite running with the Big Dogs, he kept up well in HARD Charger and placed 12th in Diamond! He had his Nationals AR invite from winning Master AR in 2025 so he will be heading to Nationals to play with the Big Dogs again! Fourth is Merc! Sir Turkey.

This flying bird had a fabulous time at Regionals! We were a little bit crazy and started off our Regionals crew with Merc in HD... his best discipline but also the one with the most intrusive squawker thoughts... Merc-y Turkey held it together for 2 CLEAN RUNS AND swimming a 16.316. He held 1st place for most of the weekend in HD but another pup swam a super respectable 16.1s which bumped Merc to 2nd. In distance, his wings weren't quite awake but he flew out to 17'3". AR's turn.... he grabbed 14', 15', and DM 16' but Barb from snapped an amazing photo as the sun was starting to set. At the finals ceremony he also secured 3rd place Ruby Vet HARD Charger!

Third is Fletcher! Mr Fletchini Panini

He was a little off the first day but during AR he said hold my b**r and grabbed 15', 16' and BARELY missed his 17' (which would tie his PB!). In Distance, we have changed to place and send recently which has helped his numbers a little bit. He ended with a nice 16'6" jump! In HD, he flailed as fast as his fuzzy body could and nailed a 21.535 score! He finished out the weekend with 1st place Novice Vet HD, 2nd place Senior Vet AR, and bumped up to Ruby HARD Charger placing 7th.

Second up, Grandma Freyja!

This little spicy old lady gave it her all on the dock like she always does. She is the work horse of the family for sure! She started off the weekend in AR and got a 15' grab and swam 23.3 in HD getting caught up in her turn at the bumper. She has been slowing down in there distance scores but still has a blast doing it! Her first round of jumps ended up with 15'3" and I had a little pep talk with her asking if she had another 16' jump in her to finish out the Senior Vet year with a bang and she gave me that 16' jump on the nub! So so proud of her. She didn't end up in any podiums in those 3 disciplines but did powerhouse her way to 1st place Topaz Vet HARD Charger!! GOOOOOO Grandma!!

First up on the recap will be Kratos!

At almost 12yo he continues to give it all on the dock no matter what and this time was no different. He had quite a bit more competition this year with many new veterans at the North Central. He swam a bit slow in HD (his least favorite discipline) with an 18.9###, had a 23' jump in distance, and a solid grab at 19' in AR...JUST missing 20'! He finished the weekend with a 3rd place Master Vet AR and 1st place Sapphire Vet HARD Charger!! We are so proud of everything he continues to do and his passion for this sport with his dad. He will be heading to Nationals in Distance, AR, and HD due to previous Nationals top 3 placements in 2025!

He also received his new rope from Auntie Christine and Our Life is Ruff Shop! Look how handsome he is 😍

We are grateful for all the conditioning and exercise plans that we do with our veterans (4 now!) that keep them going strong and feeling good. With the help of Back on Track USA, Tucker's Raw Frozen, and VetriScience keeping them on the best diet with added supplements and therapeutics to help them warm up and recover.

We are almost home after a hot and amazing NorthCentral Regionals! Once home and settled we will update more on how each dog did but for now, you can settle with this INCREDIBLE shot of Merc by Barb from Twin Eyes Photography! I absolutely cannot wait to see what other photos they captured this weekend as I unfortunately did not have much time to sit and look through them. We loved cheering and hanging out with everyone throughout the event and spending these precious moments with our own pups on the dock.
