We are proud to officially announce that Darlington Dragway will host the 3rd leg of the 2027 NOPI Championship Series, May 22–23! 🔥

This is another major step forward for Darlington Dragway and another opportunity to showcase our facility, our racers, our fans, and the support surrounding this track on a much larger stage.

This past season has been one of growth, transition, and continuing to build toward the future. There were plenty of unknowns along the way, but announcements like this show that the work being put in is beginning to pay off.

We’re excited to welcome NOPI, its competitors, teams, fans, and supporters to Darlington in 2027 for what we expect to be an incredible weekend.

And believe us — this is only the beginning.

As we head into this week, we also want to give everyone a little insight into how we’ll be approaching the upcoming NHRA Team Finals and putting together Team Darlington.

Our NHRA rep will be sending us the official roster this week, and once we receive it, we will begin filling the available spots.

Our goal is to assemble a team made up of racers who have supported Darlington Dragway throughout this season and stuck with us through the transition. This year has brought plenty of changes, growing pains, weather issues and adjustments, and we haven’t forgotten the racers who continued to show up, race with us and support what we’re trying to build.

This weekend will give us another opportunity to get everyone together, talk with racers who are interested in attending Team Finals and start getting a solid idea of who is committed to representing Darlington.

This isn’t simply about picking the quickest cars or filling names on a sheet. We want racers wearing Darlington Dragway on their chest who have genuinely been a part of Darlington Dragway.
Once the roster is in our hands, we’ll have a better idea of exactly how many spots we have available in each category. If you’re interested in representing Team Darlington, make sure to let us know.

And please understand that accepting a spot is a commitment. We want to make sure every available position goes to someone who fully intends on making the trip and representing the track.

We appreciate everyone who has continued to ride with us through this rebuilding process. Now it’s time to put our team together and go represent Darlington Dragway the right way.
