Twenty-five years later, we remember.

Today, we honor the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001 — fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends, coworkers, and countless others whose lives were forever changed.

We remember the innocent lives taken.
We remember the first responders who ran toward danger.
We remember the courage, sacrifice, and unity that followed.

Their stories continue to live on through the people who loved them and the generations who carry their memory forward.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

The 2026–2027 Harvard Wrestling Club season is officially underway, and we’re ready to write the next chapter of HWC history!

Last season, we celebrated 50 years of Harvard Wrestling Club by setting records across the board — record numbers, record state qualifiers, record state placers, and so much more. Now it’s time to build on that legacy.

2026–2027 HWC Season Details:
• Open to boys AND girls
• PK–8th Grade
• Practices begin the first week of November
• Practices held at Harvard High School
• Tournaments every weekend beginning the first weekend of December
• Season runs through mid-March, concluding with the IKWF State Tournament
• $150 per wrestler
• $75 per wrestler for those who will ALSO wrestle for Harvard Jr. High
• Payment plans are available through online registration

HWC President Mike Vest, doing big things for Illinois Wrestling!

We’re proud to have a strong delegation representing Illinois USA Wrestling (ILUSAW) at the USA Wrestling State Leaders Summit in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Representing Illinois are:
• IKWF President & ILUSAW State Chairman Joe Tholl
• ILUSAW Vice President Don Reynolds
• ILUSAW Greco Director Mike Pila
• North Sectional Director & ILUSAW Team Leader Mike Vest
• South Sectional Director & ILUSAW Team Leader Mark Bullington
• IKWF/ILUSAW Assistant Chase Marshall

Throughout the summit, our leadership team is participating in presentations and discussions focused on growing and strengthening wrestling across the country. Topics include official development, social media strategy, women’s wrestling, state leadership, and many other areas that will help us continue to elevate wrestling throughout Illinois.

We’re also excited that Mike Vest and Chase Marshall have been selected to lead a roundtable presentation showcasing how Illinois organizes and operates the IKWF State Championships along with the Illinois USA Wrestling Freestyle & Greco State Championships. It’s an honor to share ideas and best practices with wrestling leaders from across the nation.

We’re committed to bringing back new ideas, fresh perspectives, and proven strategies to ensure Illinois continues to set the standard for excellence in wrestling.

🥇 HELP SUPPORT OUR HARVARD WRESTLERS! 🥇

We have a handful of Harvard Wrestling Club wrestlers who are putting in the work and are committed to getting better in the sport of wrestling. This fall, they’ll have an opportunity to compete on a national stage at the USA Wrestling Brian Keck Pre-Season National Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa, October 28–November 1.

Traveling to tournaments like this comes with significant expenses — tournament entry fees, hotel accommodations, gas, meals, and other travel costs. We’re asking our Harvard Wrestling family, friends, local businesses, and community to help these wrestlers make the trip!

💰 Each wrestler is working toward raising $300 to help offset the cost of this experience.
