It takes so much courage to compete, so much courage to roll & that is exactly why we do it!

Humility & confidence in one self is something we are always preaching here & deserves to be touched on. With kids going back to school it coincides with bully awareness month. How many children have suffered because they don't know how to stand up for themselves? Don't have the confidence to remain firm in who they are even when someone puts them down? When you train hard, win or lose you know it's not going to be easy! You also know you are capable!
I'm so proud of our children's team & how they treat each other. We always glorify the wins but these pictures tell a story of redemption & rising to the occasion even when we have failed. Natalie had lost a few matches in a row & was feeling defeated before she made the choice to go again & give it her all despite the "failures". She bounced back with a big win & you can see the pride on her & coach Tom's face. Not because everything went right, but because things went wrong & she had the PERSISTENCE to keep going! Let someone know today they're doing a great job regardless of who may be trying to bring them down. "We get to carry each other"

Happy bully awareness month from our family to yours! All month our students will be learning the value of persistence & accepting obstacles in the way through pointed mat chats. We will continue to do our part in pouring into the youth & helping our next generation shine a little brighter. 🌾
