As the water continues to rise in Vicksburg, nature reminds us who else calls this area home. Officers responded to Waterview Casino where baby bears were spotted enjoying a sunset swim in the river. While it’s a beautiful sight, we want to remind our community to stay alert. Rising waters often bring animals and insects closer to homes and businesses. Please be cautious near wooded areas and riverbanks. Stay safe, Vicksburg!

Now that deer season is over in Ky.

Heat. Mosquitoes. Warm weather storms. Cold weather. Cold rainy weather. Sleet. Snow. The elements. Bowhuntin Buddies acknowledges the elements as friend and foe.

We here at Bowhunting Buddies acknowledge the usual difficulty of killing a whitetail deer. Sometimes you might just get set up and there he is. But, not usually. So when someone gets his eyes on a good deer and starts “hunting that deer,” he’s usually going to put in a lot of stand time to get that deer. My son, Mark, did just that; for months. I could not be more proud!!! Good job, son.
