Awesome night in Sumrall for the Bobcats as they took on their cross-county rival the Purvis Tornadoes. After a rough first half both punting and kicking Wyatt was able to finish well. His last three plays were fun to watch, check out the highlights. Proud of you son for battling back.

Wyatt and I had an awesome weekend together in Dallas. Top Golf Saturday night to relax before the Kohls Fall Assessment and Ranking Event. Tons of talented specialists from each age class. Wyatt had a good showing with his best punt of 55 3.86 hang, big kickoff of 67 with 3.60 hang and long field goals of 52 yards in both the charting and competition portions of the camp.

Solid start to the 2024 season for class of 2026 Wyatt Jones . Only kickoff was a touchback, 41.5 yard gross punting average, 3 punts inside the 20 with a long of 55. Looking forward to this season!
Always a privilege to showcase a specialist at my local school. JP Parish, class of 2023, another soccer player turned specialist, has become a consistent weapon for the Sumrall Bobcats. So consistent that he is currently ranked #2 ( #1 amongst seniors) per MaxPreps, with an avg of 39.78 yds. having punted 18 times over 4 games. Deciding to try football his senior year he reached out this summer for formal training where we worked on both kicking and punting. He’s found his place in punting and is doing remarkably well.

Dan Lindsay, a senior at Central Holmes Academy, scores his first field goal of the 2022 football season. A former soccer player turned placekicker and is a natural ball striker. He was a quick study this summer and has worked hard to become an important part of his team.

Sophomore Michael Owens starts the season off strong with 6/6 XP’s and a few touchbacks on kickoffs. His off-season training and hard work is paying off!

It’s been great to get to know and watch these two guys punt and kick during their high school career. I had the chance to watch them play their final game as a high schooler today in the Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Game. Petal’s Nate Jones represented the south as K/P and Choctaw County’s Trace Beard represented the north as the punter. Great specialist and even better individuals. Bright futures for sure. .jones18
