Self-Advocacy groups are as unique as the people who form the group. All successful Self-Advocacy groups have several things in common. All Self-Advocacy groups need:
A purpose or mission. This purpose needs to be shared by each member of the group. a leader. The group needs someone to take responsibility to organize and run meetings. uconcrete goals. Members who are willing to work toward these goals. Self-Advocacy has four connected parts:
